Mišo Vujović, the Manager and the Editor-in-Chief of National Review, is the winner of the “Golden badge” of the Community for Culture and Education of Serbia for 2009, a recognition for the great contribution to the development of cultural activities. The recognition was given on June 8th to 54 eminent cultural workers, among which: Anton Kasipović, the Minister of Culture of Republic of Srpska, artists Rade Radivojević and Nemanja Radulović, actors Milan Lane Gutović and Dragan Mićanović, Serbian cultural workers Bledar Bašanović from Albania and Momčilo Velić from Macedonia, Jadranka Dragojlović from Hungary and Branko Kurucić from Croatia...
“The winners come from all five continents, which confirms the Serbian idea of taking care of its culture and preserve important elements of its people, wherever live and work its members”, said the Minister for Diaspora Srđan Srećković on the ceremony in Belgrade. “This is an open competition for all those who consider Serbia their homeland, and the prize has been awarded since 1976 and it is one of two prizes, besides Vuk Prize, for the total contribution to the preservation of cultural identity.”
The prizes were given by the President of the Community for Culture and Education of Serbia, Ljubivoje Ršumović and by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Diaspora, Miodrag Jakšić (the president of the Jury) in the hall of the Ministry of Diaspora. |
